The Six Granddaughters of Cecil Slaughter tells the story of a family of Jewish Hungarian immigrants who settle in Chicago in the first half of the twentieth century. Cecil Slaughter, the patriarch, rises from poverty to raise a prosperous family.

We are looking for nonfiction works on the culture and history of Chicago and the region. We are not currently accepting unsolicited fiction or poetry submissions.
